Brazil is a tropical country located in South America. Brazil has many tourist attractions, one of which is the Amazon rainforest, the largest rainforest on Earth. It is often called the lungs of the world because it produces 30% of the oxygen needed on Earth. The rainforest covers 60% of Brazil. The Amazon rainforest contains about 40,000 plant species, 1300 bird species, 430 amphibian species, 300 fish species and 380 reptile species. The center of the Amazon rainforest is the Amazon River, which is the second longest river in the world after the Nile River. The Amazon River passes through five countries: Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Bolivia. Some tourist activities you can do in the Amazon River are exploring the forest, canoeing, and fishing.
The Amazon River can also be an alternative travel option for those of you who like a challenge. If you like hiking, you can take one of the paths that goes along the 700 miles. This river has various types of animals that can only be seen there. Some of these animals are piranha, catfish, anaconda and dolphins. The piranha is known for its sharp teeth and is a ferocious carnivorous activity. The Amazon catfish is the most dominating species in the Amazon River. It can be 3 meters long and weigh more than 450 pounds.
In addition to the Amazon River, Brazil also has a very beautiful waterfall called Iguaçu Falls. This waterfall is located on the Iguaçu River, on the border of Brazil and Argentina. The name of the waterfall comes from the Guarani language and means “big water.” Iguaçu Falls is divided into two sections, the top and the bottom. Iguacu Falls is 82m, even higher than Niagara Falls. If you choose to visit this waterfall, you definitely won’t regret it.
