If you are visiting China, you must go to Huangshan, located in eastern China. It is a popular tourist destination because it has very beautiful natural scenery. Mount Huangshan, or Yellow Mountain, is known as one of the most beautiful mountains in China. It is about 50 km from the city center. At the foot of this mountain, there is also a fountain and hot springs.
Huangshan Mountain is also called Peak Sunrise because of its beautiful view at sunrise. Among them are Huacheng Temple, Zhiyuan Temple, Zhantanlin Temple, and Tiantai Ganlu Zhending Temple.
Huangshan is also often called a paradise of plants and animals, because there are more than 300 plant species and 490 endangered animals there. Huangshan is also the largest tea producer in China. Some brands of Huangshan tea that are famous worldwide are Maofeng Tea, Taiping Houkui Tea, Black Tea and Qimen Tunxi Green Tea. In this city there are also many restaurants that offer special food, such as Mandarin fish (Chou Guiyu). Chou Guiyu is a dish with fish from the Xin’an River as its base, which is sautéed in soy sauce.
Tunxi Ancient Street is a pedestrian area that is very popular among the tourists, because there are many shops, restaurants, and other places of entertainment. The shops here sell Chinese accessories. This area also has two very famous museums, namely Tunxi Museum and Wancuilou Museum. Tunxi Museum was built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Wancuilou museum was built by Wan Renhui, and was originally built as a private museum. Today, these museums house ancient Chinese calligraphy, paintings, and porcelain pieces.
Shexian County is located at the foot of Yellow Mountain. This city has many ancient Chinese relics. If you visit this city, you can see some of the ancient towers, bridges and wells built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. One of the most famous temples is the Ancestral Temple. Hongcun is an ancient village recognized as a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO. Hongcun has houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Folk Imperial Palace is also known as the Palace of Gold because the doors and the walls of the palace are made of gold.
