Hong Kong is a special region of China. It is both an economic and tourist center. Hong Kong has several free tourists attractions. Here are some of them:
• Tian Tan Buddha, also called the Big Buddha, is a large bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamunisatu located in Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island. The Big Buddha is 34 m tall! Although you can get to the monastery by bus, taxi, or train, you can also get there by cable car, allowing a more unique way to enjoy the scenery.
• Yuen Po Street Bird Garden is a designed like a traditional Chinese garden. The park has stalls selling exotic birds, bamboo cages, and other bird paraphernalia. This is a good place to see the traditional Chinese hobby of men who feed and preen their birds in exchange for songs.
• Wong Nai Chung Gap Trail and Dragon’s Back Trail are two great trails in Hong Kong. If you love hiking, then you need to check these out! Wong Nai Chung Gap Trail has many historic things along it, as it is the site of the battle between the Imperial Japanese Army and the British defenders. Dragon’s Back allows you to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery of Hong Kong.
• Repulse Bay in located in southern Hong Kong. Many say that it is the most spectacular bay in the area. Both the bay and the beach on it almost look too perfect. But they are in fact real.
• Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens hundreds of species of plants, birds, and other animals. It is located on the northern slope of Victoria Peak with a total area of 5.6 ha. The area was discovered in 1871 by Charles Ford and became the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Garden in 1975. There are eight different gardens with different focuses, e.g., the Bamboo Garden, Camellia Garden, and Azalea Garden. The zoo has over 600 birds and many animals.
