Mehtab Bagh, better known by the name “Moonlight Garden”, is the eleventh garden built by the Mughal Empire. The garden is located on the banks of Yamuna River across from the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The Mughals had two objectives when they built the garden:
- To beautify the Taj Mahal. This can be seen from the garden’s ornaments that looked very beautiful with colorful flowers decoration and hundreds of trees contained therein.
- As flood prevention
