Saying this Rough Rider messenger bag is “leather” or “tough” does not do it justice. It is thick, distressed leather and circa-1940s travel, Indiana Jones (or maybe Teddy Roosevelt) tough. Gary of Waterfield bags tells us it’s sewn on a machine that can sew pennies onto leather and I believe him.
I also believe when he says this bag will not only look more beautiful as it ages, but will remain timeless as it ages.

(not sure WHAT they did to their Rough Rider bag, maybe dragged it behind their bike through the streets?!)
The Rough Rider comes in a grizzly brown distressed leather with choice of six accent colors. We’d love to see it in Taxi Indium to match the Cargo Messenger (love that bright, super-tough fabric!).
We recommend a sleeve if you intend to carry a laptop in the Rough Rider. Check out Waterfield’s Outback here: http://www.sfbags.com/products/outback-laptop-sleeve/outback-sleeve.php
