The largest underwater theme park in the world “The PEARL OF DUBAI” is to be built in the UAE/Persian Gulf:
Already home to Atlantis, The Palm Hotel (see video below) with it’s breathtaking aquariums, waterslides that take you thru shark-infested waters, swimming with dolphins, and more…(see Atlantis, The Palm resort map.pdf), Los Angeles based Reef Worlds has announced that they will build the largest underwater theme park (five acres) off the coast of Dubai, including submerged ruins and references to Atlantis, the mythical, sunken empire.
The artificial reef, to be built in shallow waters of The World Islands Development, will also aim to foster marine life with colonies of algae and soft corals, reported The National earlier this year when plans were still afoot.
The Worlds Island Development includes The Heart of Europe which will feature villas, hotels and marketplaces inspired by the architecture and lifestyle of Europe. But it will also include snow and rain-lashed streets, said Josef Kleindienst, the chief executive of Kleindienst Group, building of which is expected to last until the end of 2016.
Like the Atlantis, The Palm Resort, The Pearl of Dubai underwater theme park aims to create an experience suitable for swimmers and divers of all ability levels.
